Absolute Jaffa is a family estate founded in 1877, home to a peculiar grove that produces cricket-shaped citrus fruit. The story began when Reginald Jaffa found citrus inside a split cricket ball and planted the seeds.
A jaffa is a term in cricket for a ball so perfectly delivered that it is nearly impossible to play. It comes from a 1960s commentary, and the term has stuck with commentators and players ever since.
The grove has been here since 1877. It will be here long after. We are not in the habit of elaborating.
The estate was founded in 1877, when Reginald Jaffa discovered the first seeds inside a split cricket ball.
